Oct. 24 - 4th Friday Art Walk
Featured Artist:
Warren Zager
Warren has worked in a variety of creative jobs: transforming
Country club ballrooms for debutants in the theme party business, designing
Interactive educational pieces, and crafting installations that enrich the
Community. As a science museum exhibits director he created acres of
Interactive, hands-on exhibits ranging from Robotic Dinosaurs to Deep
Space Explorations. He worked his way through college with stained glass
commissions, locally creating the stained glass windows and eternal flame
for Prescott’s Jewish Temple Brith Shalom. He has also worked with hot glass, which involves off-hand glass blowing
outside of a furnace. He specializes in mixed-media pieces, combining welded sculptures with blown glass and a number
of other substances. Favorite projects of his are centered on the thrilling mediums of molten glass, poured bronze, and
welded metals. In his art, Warren looks for depth of soul and energy; “something that will last past the end of humanity.
” Taking strong influences from Mesoamerican cultures past and present, Warren’s work pays homage to the ancients while
seeking to create a statement of the human condition in our times. His goal is to speak to our own culture, striving to create
powerful artistic pieces that are “something you cannot simply walk by”.
The tasting room will be open so you can enjoy Prescott’s own Fine Spirits as well.
Friday, August 22, 2014 from 5-8pm
