Thumb Butte Distillery. A Legend in The Making

In 2013 we realized that we were living in Prescott, Arizona, home of the infamous Whiskey Row.  There were no distilleries in Prescott.  At the time, there were two distilleries in Arizona, one of them not open yet, so we thought that the time might we ripe for a distillery here in Prescott.  We are the first legal distillery in Prescott since Prohibition.

We had one mission when we started; to stake a claim in the growing American small batch craft distilling movement and to live in the rich history of Arizona.  We were on a quest to be the best.  We have selected Arizona corn, wheat, and next year, Arizona Malted Barley for our three whiskeys:  Bloody Basin Bourbon, Rodeo Rye and Crown King Single Malt. 

For our Gins we use local Juniper, home grown Sage, Fennel and citrus from Phoenix.  We have won international medals for all our products.  The creation of these spirits in an act of faith, unabashed hubris, and the never ending sweat and tears to make this dream of ours a reality.
