Distillery & Tasting Room

Where the Magic Happens. On a side street, in a semi-industrial area, across from the “Holiday Laundromat”, which is not open on holidays, sits the home of Prescott’s own Thumb Butte Distillery.

This neighborhood is more “American Splendor” than “R Crumb” but it has a deceptive character all its own. We have the Kestrel High School which seems to be the bastion of the overly intelligent, chain smoking, future poets and philosophers, next to the urban renewal project of a dedicated sculptor from Portland. There is Morgan Sign Shop, Yei!, several state and local service agencies, and yards with Pit Bulls ready for action.

We are on the corner of Washington and Moeller busily working our alchemy inside our building. We are making  Vodka, Gin, Rye Whiskey, Single Malt Whiskey, Bourbon and Dark Rum.  Also, for your mixing pleasure, we produce a line of bitters that will make your taste buds dance!

We are sourcing local corn and now local Durham wheat for our whiskeys. We are gathering wild Juniper Berries and have harvested our sage.

From our crisp pure vodka, our Gurley Street Gin, Rodeo Rye and our Bloody Basin Bourbon we are ready to quench your thirst. Bring your friends and make new ones. Saddle up to the bar order a sampling and a cocktail made from your favorite TBD Spirit, attend our regular events like 4th Friday Art Walk Artists Receptions, Monthly Music Performances, local and statewide events.  (See Photos & Video from recent events here.)

The Distillery is available for booking your private parties, as well as our Thumb Butte crew tending to your special events at other specified locations. Call us to schedule your event now (928)443-8498 or drop us an email at ThumbButteDistillery@gmail.com

    • Hi Chris. Our cart will only ship within the state of AZ. We are hoping that this year, the feds will open up the shipping restrictions so we can start shipping our great product nationally. If you haven’t already, come on down and get it, we are open Friday 2-8, Saturday 12-6 and Sunday 12-5.
